Sonoma County Boudoir Photographer

My name is Jason Guy and I’m a Sonoma County boudoir photographer. My superpower if finding your best angles and sculpting your curves gorgeous light; so you feel just as stunning as you look.

You don’t need modeling experience. You don’t need to know how to pose. The most photogenic people you see in my portfolio? Almost all of them said they were “awkward” in front of the camera. My goal by the end of your session is to completely change the way you see yourself by showing you what you actually look like at your best.

Sonoma County Boudoir Photography Before & After

As a Bay Area boudoir photographer, I’ve worked with clients from all over Northern California to help them feel more confident, powerful, and beautiful in front of the camera. The “before” photos show clients in their natural state; no makeup, no styled hair, no guided poses, and regular lighting. The “after” photos are taken after a full makeover with professional hair and makeup.

I handle the posing, lighting, and editing to create the images you see. These transformations aren’t about filters or digital tricks. For my Sonoma boudoir photo shoots, I use natural light, thoughtful posing, and expert guidance to highlight the best version of you—one that already exists. If you’re unsure about booking a session, take a moment to read my client testimonials. My clients explain the impact of their photo shoots better than I ever could.

A side-by-side composition captures a transformative Sebastopol boudoir session before and after. On the left, the "before" image shows a woman standing outdoors under a wooden pergola, surrounded by soft white drapes and greenery. She wears a cozy, gray plaid belted coat, and her natural beauty shines through with minimal makeup and a friendly, relaxed smile. Her brown hair is neatly styled, and the daylight provides a fresh, natural ambiance. On the right, the "after" image reveals a dramatic shift in mood and style as the same woman poses confidently indoors, now wearing a black, form-fitting lingerie bodysuit with vertical mesh panels and structured cups. Thigh-high lace stockings add a touch of vintage glamour, secured by garter straps. Her makeup is bold and sultry, with dark eyeliner and contouring that highlight her features. Her hair is styled in an elegant updo with a loose curl framing her face. She stands beside a bed with warm ambient lighting casting soft shadows across the scene, enhancing the intimate and empowered atmosphere of the Sebastopol boudoir session before and after.
A compelling visual transformation is showcased in this Sonoma county boudoir photo shoot before and after. On the left, the "before" image features a woman with a natural, makeup-free look, smiling warmly against a plain white backdrop. Her hair is casually pulled back, and she wears a grey zip-up sweatshirt with the College of Marin Registered Nursing Program logo, presenting a comfortable and everyday appearance. In stark contrast, the "after" image on the right reveals a striking boudoir portrait set against a deep black background. The same woman is now posed gracefully on the floor, her body angled to emphasize elegance and strength. She wears a matching set of red lingerie—an embroidered lace bra and panties—paired with bold red fishnet thigh-high stockings held up by garters. Her makeup is dramatic and polished, with contoured features, smoky eyeshadow, and a soft nude-pink lip. Her hair is styled in soft waves that cascade over her shoulder, and she closes her eyes in a serene, confident expression. A powerful side-by-side transformation captures the essence of Santa Rosa Boudoir photography before and after. She stands sideways next to a wooden dresser, her back arched slightly and one hand resting on the drawer handle. Her vibrant blue hair is now styled in soft, glamorous waves. She wears a loose, dark tank top with deep armholes, revealing the side of her torso and a glimpse of black lace panties. Bold tattoos decorate her arm and thigh, adding a layer of personal expression and edge to the scene. Her gaze is fierce and direct, with defined eye makeup and a berry lip color. The soft natural light filtering through cream-colored curtains creates a dreamy, elegant backdrop, enhancing the intimacy and empowerment of the Santa Rosa Boudoir photography before and after experience.
A striking transformation is presented in this Petaluma boudoir session before and after, showcasing confidence and sensuality. Her straight blonde hair is neatly styled, and her natural, makeup-free appearance conveys a relaxed, approachable charm. The soft chandelier lighting in the background adds a golden glow to the scene. On the right, the "after" image captures the same woman in a dramatically lit boudoir portrait. She poses gracefully against an ornate cream-colored wall, dressed in a deep emerald green lace lingerie set with gold accents. The bra is semi-sheer with scalloped edges, and the high-cut panties elongate her legs and accentuate her waist. Warm, ambient lighting highlights the contours of her body and the intricate architecture of the setting, enhancing the rich, elegant atmosphere of this Petaluma boudoir session before and after.

How Mrs. B Describes Her Sonoma Boudoir Session

“Jason,

Thank you, thank you! A million thank yous!

I can’t thank you enough for the amazing opportunity to work with you this last weekend. I had an amazing time and truly appreciate your professionalism, it made the experience very easy and wonderful!

The unknown makes me uneasy. My nervousness was my own insecurities about myself, my body and my shyness. I also have never had professional photos of any kind done and was nervous putting myself in such a vulnerable position.

A radiant transformation is captured in this healdsburg boudoir photography before and after. On the left, the "before" image shows a woman with a warm smile standing in a softly lit room. She wears a casual lavender V-neck T-shirt, her short dark hair slightly tousled, and she appears natural and relaxed, exuding a genuine sense of comfort and approachability. On the right, the "after" image reveals a stunning boudoir portrait with dramatic lighting and a refined sense of confidence. The same woman poses near a window, pulling gently on the straps of a sheer black lace bodysuit that accentuates her curves with its deep plunging neckline and intricate floral detailing. Her makeup is elegantly applied, highlighting her eyes and softening her features. Her hair is styled in loose, voluminous waves that frame her face. Natural light pours in through the curtain beside her, casting soft highlights across her body and creating a mood that is both bold and intimate—perfectly embodying the essence of healdsburg boudoir photography before and after.

Your easy-going nature and positive personality quickly washed those nerves and fears away. You give off a very familiar positive vibe, that makes working with you so easy and comfortable.

I take pride in my body, working out and feeling good about myself. I have, since my teens, been very critical of myself — always poking and picking at myself about my body and weight. I’ve never felt sexy or confident. After our photo session, I felt sexy and confident. This was a life-changing experience for me. It has opened my eyes in so many ways. I feel empowered, in control of my fears, nerves, anxieties.

The roads we choose to take, the choices we make and the people we choose to be with in life sometimes are not the best choices. Some get the best of us and bring us down creating fears, insecurities and sadness. This wonderful experience with you has allowed me to love myself, see my beauty within, hear my voice, and feel sexy and confident. It has, in a way, set me free! I feel stronger and braver.

I truly appreciate your passion and compassion and focus. You gave me the best experience and I look forward to hopefully working with you again. I feel that my next boudoir shoot with you will be just as wonderful. I will be much stronger after this last experience.

I can’t wait to see the final photographs and feel the power of my sexiness! Thank you so much for allowing me to experience this!

With great appreciation and love,

Mrs. B”

A woman stands gracefully on polished hardwood floors in a warmly lit bedroom, the focus of an elegant and intimate portrait. She wears a sheer, pale blue babydoll lingerie dress with delicate lace cups and a satin ribbon bow at the center, which adds a soft, romantic touch. Her figure is gently highlighted by the way the fabric flows around her thighs, and a tattoo is faintly visible on her left thigh beneath the hemline. She wears leopard-print high heels that add a bold, playful contrast to the soft pastel tones of her outfit. Her dark hair is styled in loose waves, and she gazes down with a subtle, content smile. Sonoma County Boudoir Photo Shoot Locations

Because I shoot exclusively on location, the right setting plays a big role in the final look of your photos. Some clients choose to use their homes—especially if they have good natural light and a space that feels like them. Others prefer a change of scenery. If that’s you, I’ll help you find the right setting based on the vibe you’re after.

One of my favorite places to shoot is the Ledson Hotel, right on the Sonoma Plaza. The rooms are filled with elegant furniture and soft, directional window light—perfect for creating timeless, flattering portraits.

27 North in Healdsburg is another great option. The Grand King rooms have tall French doors, dramatic curtains, and a bed with carved posts that’s great for posing. It’s a well-lit, stylish space that photographs really well. The hotel has been remodeled since these photos were taken, but the charm is still there.

Want boudoir photos among the vineyards of Northern California’s wine country? The Mountain Terrace, is a private estate tucked into the hills. It’s ideal if you’re hoping for an outdoor setting. Below are a few photos taken these locations to help you imagine the possibilities.

A dramatic black and white portrait captures a woman in a sensuous and introspective pose, embodying the refined artistry of a Northern California boudoir photographer. She stands against a completely dark backdrop, her form partially cloaked in a richly textured, dark lace fabric that drapes loosely over her shoulders and midsection. The fabric features an elegant floral pattern, adding depth and sophistication to the image. Her left hand gently clasps the shawl at her waist, while her right hand rests delicately on the side of her neck, drawing attention to her soft, graceful posture. She wears lacy black underwear that subtly peeks out from beneath the fabric, enhancing the image’s allure while maintaining an air of elegance. Her long, wavy hair cascades over one shoulder in flowing waves, catching the soft highlights from the directional lighting. Her makeup is bold yet classic, with contoured cheekbones, dark eyeshadow, and parted lips that add to the intimate mood. A single teardrop earring glimmers subtly, catching the light and complementing the timeless tone of the monochrome palette. The controlled lighting and poised composition reflect the skill and vision of a seasoned Northern California boudoir photographer.

Sonoma County Boudoir FAQ

Have questions about your Sonoma County boudoir session? Here are some of the most common things clients ask before booking—and honest answers to help you prepare.

Do You Provide Wardrobe For Clients?

No, I don’t provide outfits for your photo shoot—but that’s actually a good thing. The truth is, your boudoir photos will look far better when you bring things that fit you perfectly and match your personal style. I’ve found that when clients wear pieces they’ve chosen themselves, the photos feel more polished and authentic—which shows in the final images.
If you’re unsure where to start, I created this guide to choosing outfits for your body type to help you find the most flattering styles. You can also check out my roundup of the best places to buy boudoir outfits if you need ideas. As your Sonoma boudoir photographer, I’ll also help you choose outfits if you want a second set of eyes on anything.

Is Professional Hair and Makeup Included With My Session?

Yes—hair and makeup are included with every boudoir session. You’ll work with my trusted makeup artist, who knows exactly how to create a look that photographs beautifully. Whether you’re after something subtle and romantic or more glamorous, we’ll make sure you feel amazing before the first photo is even taken.
If you want a deeper look at what this process involves, I’ve written a full post here so you can learn more about hair and makeup for your boudoir session.
This is part of what makes my approach to boudoir photography in Sonoma feel more like a luxury experience than a regular photo shoot.

I Feel Awkward In Photos—Can You Still Make Me Look Good?

Definitely. Making people look amazing—even if they’ve never liked a photo of themselves—is basically my superpower. Most of my clients start out feeling awkward or unsure in front of the camera. That’s normal. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I’ll guide you through every step.
If you’d like to feel more prepared before your session, I recommend checking out my post on boudoir posing tips. It covers simple techniques that flatter your figure and take the guesswork out of what to do in front of the camera.
You don’t need to be “photogenic” to look incredible in photos. You just need someone who knows how to light you well, direct you into flattering shapes, and help you feel confident doing it. That’s what I do.

How Much Does a Sonoma Boudoir Photo Shoot Cost?

A Sonoma County boudoir photo shoot starts at $1,952. That includes the photo shoot itself, professional hair and makeup, a 6-image folio box, and high-res and web-res JPEGs of every image you select. You’ll also have a private reveal session to view your images and decide if you’d like to purchase more.
To estimate the total cost of your session, just add the $500 deposit to the number of images you think you’ll want. If you’d like to explore all of the options for displaying your photos, you can check out my price menu.
Most of my clients spend between $3,500 and $7,000 on their final boudoir albums or folio boxes, but it varies based on how many images you love. Some spend less, and others spend more—it’s entirely up to you.
