Classy Boudoir Outfits That Will Leave Him Speechless

One of the most common questions I’m asked as a boudoir photographer is where’s a good place to get classy boudoir outfits? To make things easy for you, I’ve indexed this page by my 5 favorite lingerie styles to help you find tasteful lingerie ideas for your upcoming photo shoot.

Before you start looking through the different lingerie though, you may want to check out this post about how to choose boudoir outfits for your body type. By selecting your boudoir outfits with this method, you will not only enhance your shilloutte but you’ll also diminish your insecurities at the same time.

With that out of the way, the following are my top five classy boudoir outfit styles I think you should look at. All of these options have the potential to be very sexy, but in a tasteful not trashy kind of way.

  1. Chemises and Babydolls
  2. Teddy’s and Bodysuits
  3. Bra’s
  4. Panties
  5. Corsets

Babydolls & Chemises Are Classy Boudoir Outfits

Modern chemises are basically form fitting slips. Baybolls are similar to chemises except they flair out at the hips whereas chemises hug your hips. While it’s true that these styles come in very revealing sheer designs, others can be found that are much more modest and offer quite a bit more concealment.

Go as revealing or as modest as you want, but remember that no matter your body type you need to get the form fitted designs that hug your torso. The ones that are loose fitting around your waist will just make you look bigger.

Teddies & Bodysuits Are Classy Boudoir Outfits

Teddies tend to make for classy boudoir outfits because they are basically the lingerie equivalent of a one piece bathing suit. Some are made from sheer see though meshes and laces, while others will give you total concealment behind non-transparent materials. How much you reveal is up to you and your comfort level.

You can look at bodysuit designs that cover your hips if you’re worried about cellulite on your butt. On the other hand if you want to show off your butt you can go with the thong style bottoms for a tastefully sexy look. Below are some of my current favorites I’ve found.

The Right Bras Are Classy Boudoir Outfits

A classy bra is all about enhancing your breasts so they look a full and curvy as possible. Different designs will compliment different women according to your own individual needs.

For example, if you have good volume and only need a bit of shaping and support, a lined demi or 3/4 bra will offer great shaping and concealment.

Conversely, smaller busted women would do best to consider push up bras and bralettes. Theses designs will make small busted women look fuller than the designs recommended for larger busted women.

Briefs, Thongs & High Waist Panties Are Classy Boudoir Outfits

Panties come in quite a few sizes and variants depending on what you want to highlight or conceal. If you don’t have insecurities on your lower tummy, or butt I recommend going as revealing as you ‘re comfortable with.

For those that need cover around the lower tummy and or hips, high waist options are best. Hipsters (sometimes called boy shorts) are another conservative yet sexy option that’s often overlooked bikini lines are too aggressive for your taste.

Whatever you choose, just remember that classy is just a point of view. To illustrate this point, a revealing thong could be the classy part of a sheer mesh babydoll. You can also do skimpy underwear under sheer bodysuits for a similar effect. This little bit of coverage can really class up an outfit you might think of as trashy on it’s own.

Corsets Are Classy Boudoir Outfits

Last but not least on our classy boudoir outfits  list is the corset. Corsets are easily the best way to improve your body and add elegance to your photos. Underbust corsets can even be paired with bras to again allow you to mix and match different pieces.

This can be incredibly powerful if you buy one really nice underbust corset and then pair it with two different bra and panty sets. Using this technique for your photo shoot you’ll effectively get to use the same piece twice for two different looks!

I highly recommend spending just a little bit more money and invest in the nicer custom corsets. The ones from corset story in particular are pretty affordable and worlds better than the affordable options you’ll find on Amazon, Yandy, Frederick’s, etc.
